Negativity has surrounded the New Orleans Saints and their struggling offense, but wide receiver Devaughn Vele stands out as a model of consistency. With his 6’5” frame and 348 receiving yards this season, Vele’s ability to deliver clutch catches and serve as a reliable possession receiver makes him a quietly vital asset for Tyler Shough and the Saints’ offense. As trade rumors swirl, Vele’s contract and productivity could make him indispensable as the Saints look to stretch the field with weapons like Chris Olave and Jordan Tyson. On defense, Julian Blackmon has quietly emerged as a dependable contributor with two interceptions and a standout run defense grade. While the Saints’ secondary has struggled, Blackmon’s coverage abilities and low missed tackle rate offer rare stability alongside playmakers like Martin Emerson Jr. and Chase Young. Can these underrated Saints help turn the season around and finally give fans something to cheer for?
